The image used in the logo for TIS is that of Imhotep. As one of the officials of the Pharaoh Djoser, he designed the Pyramid of Djoser [the Step Pyramid] at Saqqara in Egypt in 2630-2611 BCE.

Imhotep used geometric / math calculations and very complex engineering concepts to build the Pyramid. He had many talents and is a person from 4600 years ago that can be seen now as a founder of technology.

TIS, Inc. is grateful to Imhotep and all that followed to aid the advancement of civilizations through the use of Science and Technology. We all stand on his shoulders for moving technology and civilization forward.
